and that just one of the at least ten reasons why things Aren't As Bad As They Used to Be.  Egrets.  There never used to be egrets all over the place--but now (if you know where to look) there are egrets all over the place.  I need to remind myself of these things when I get panicky about the State of Things.  Also deer.

    I see egrets every morning in the lagoon near where I surf. Catching waves is just a bonus.
